Innocent is a registered nurse with clinical and teaching experience. Since 2013, he has been working with the University of Rwanda as Lecturer. He completed Masters’ degree in Nursing and Masters in Public Health from University of KwaZulu-Natal and Western Cape, South Africa respectively. Innocent is a PhD student at University of British Columbia under supervision of Dr. Sabrina Wong. His involvement in community-based health projects such as HIV/AIDS, malnutrition, chronic disease prevention and maternal and newborn health programs made him develop an interest in primary health care. His PhD dissertation is looking at understanding the team-based care for chronic disease management in primary care practices. He enjoys walking, gospel and traditional songs. health are resulting in different health outcomes across the province."
