Beth McDougall, PhD (c)

Dalhousie University (Nova Scotia)
I graduated in 2009 with a Bachelor of Science with First Class Honours in Psychology and in 2014 with a Master of Science in Epidemiology, both degrees from Dalhousie University. I am currently a 3rd year PhD Candidate in Epidemiology and Applied Health Research at Dalhousie University supervised by Dr. George Kephart. While completing my PhD, I am concurrently working as an Epidemiologist with Nova Scotia Health Primary Health Care embedded in an operational health systems planning context. My proposed research aims to evaluate the alignment between community primary health care needs, the use of different primary care services and models, and the impact on system outcomes during the recent period of primary health care transformation in Nova Scotia. When I am not working and schooling, I enjoy being active and being outside in nature. I have lived in Nova Scotia my entire life, am an extreme dog lover and love to laugh.
