Université d’Angers (France)

My name is Arthur Piraux, and I am a pharmacist. Graduated in 2017, the same year I joined the French Pharmacy Students Association (ANEPF), it was a unique and a very rewarding experience. Indeed, this involvement prompted me to imagine new missions for the pharmacist, following the example of strange countries such as England, Scotland but especially Canada. So, I undertook a pursuit of my studies and I am currently a PhD student at the University of Angers (2nd year). My research involves evaluating a management strategy for women with uncomplicated cystitis, by the community pharmacist, using a specific protocol. This research focused on primary care aims to contribute to better access to care in French territories, where the access to a general practitioner is difficult. I also helped create a seminar for health students to teach them how to work together. Interprofessional practice is something important to me and that I am committed to applying in my professional practice. My professional goal is to be able to teach in my Faculty of Pharmacy and continue to practice in a community pharmacist to keep in touch with my patients.
