As a senior research scientist with an excellent molecular and cell biology background, she not only takes the initiative in planning new and innovative experiments for her own projects, but also provides valuable insights and day-to-day supervision to the postdoctoral fellows, students and technicians in their research activities.
Biography: Dr. Novielli completed her BSc Physiology and PhD Medical Biophysics at UWO. She completed 1 year of postdoctoral training at the Princess Margaret Cancer Research Centre in Toronto and 2 years of postdoctoral training at the University of Guelph. She specializes in vascular physiology and microvascular connexin and pannexin mediated communication and their role in disease.
Biography: Julia completed her BSc at Western University in 2014 with an Honours Specialization in Biology and minor in medical cell biology. She is currently investigating the roles of connexins and pannexins in the ear and their contributions to hearing loss.
Biography: Rianne completed her BMSc at Western in 2017 with an Honours Specialization in Physiology & Pharmacology. Her project focuses on how hearing loss linked connexin26 mutants affect the phenotype of inner ear derived HEI-OC1 cells.
Biography: Since graduating from UWO with a BSc in Zoology, Kevin's research has primarily focused on reproduction and development. He is the manager for various mouse models which are used by the lab.
