Dr. Ghasemi is a breast surgical oncologist dedicated to advancing personalized care for patients with breast cancer. He completed his undergraduate studies at York University before earning his medical degree at Western University, where he also completed his residency in general surgery. During his training, Dr. Ghasemi pursued a Master of Science in Surgery, focusing his research on developing machine learning models to de-intensify surgical treatment for patients with early-stage breast cancer. He further specialized in breast surgical oncology through fellowship training at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center.
Dr. Ghasemi’s research interests center on translational science, with an emphasis on leveraging molecular biology and genomics to inform clinical decision-making and improve outcomes in breast cancer care.
Dr. Ghasemi welcomes referrals for patients with both benign and malignant breast conditions, as well as those identified as high risk for breast cancer.
