Dr. Catherine Sarre graduated magna cum laude from the Faculty of Medicine at La Salle University, and completed her General Surgery Residency at the National Institute of Health Sciences and Nutrition Salvador Zubirán (INCMNSZ) in Mexico City. Dr. Sarre holds a Master’s in Surgical Sciences from the University of Edinburgh and a Master’s in Health Administration from Anahuac University.   She completed a Complex General Surgical Oncology Fellowship at the University of Toronto, alongside a Pelvic Sarcoma Surgical Research Fellowship at the Princess Margaret Cancer Center. In recognition of her academic excellence, she was awarded the Zane Cohen Clinical Fellowship Award. Her international training includes elective clinical stays in the Department of Sarcoma Surgery at the National Cancer Institute in Milan, Italy, and in Melanoma and Sarcoma Surgery at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Center in Melbourne, Australia.  

Dr. Sarre’s clinical and research interests include soft tissue sarcomas, skin cancers, and gastrointestinal malignancies. She has secured competitive research funding and presented her work at major international conferences, including the Society of Surgical Oncology (SSO), American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), and the Connective Tissue Oncology Society (CTOS). Actively engaged in global oncology, she serves on sarcoma working groups across North America, Europe, and Latin America.
