Biosketch
I was appointed to the Faulty in September 2003. My research activities consist of large data analysis and trauma.
In the large data analysis, we are using the Critical Care Information System (CCIS) in developing a mortality prediction model at 24 hours of ICU admission using the variables collected in one centre. We are following it up with external validation of the prediction model using CCIS data from all of the ICUs in Ontario.
In our trauma research we are looking at the effect of beta-blockers on traumatic brain injuries and heart rate in sepsis.
