Services

 

The Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry’s Research Office provides the following services for faculty members, postdoctoral fellows and associates, and students:

  • Disseminate information on external and internal funding opportunities, programs, awards and prizes to researchers in the Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry.
  • Assist researchers to identify potential sources of research funding.
  • Assist with the initiation and development of research collaborations.
  • Assist researchers to obtain the appropriate SSMD and University signatures for the submission of grant applications.
  • Assist with compliance with policies and procedures of Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry and The University of Western Ontario, and guidelines of funding agencies.  
  • Provide reviews of grant applications.
  • Assist the Associate Dean (Research) in soliciting and coordinating nominations for research awards and prizes.
  • Conduct workshops and information sessions on research issues and funding opportunities.
  • Facilitate the adjudication of internal funding competitions.
