Graduate Program Report

Our 39th year of the Graduate Program launched with our two week on-site, which commenced on September 19th. We welcomed four new MClSc students and one PhD student. Fifteen graduate students participated in various classes during the on-site. In addition to their intellectually stimulating classroom time, the students also valued attending the McWhinney lecture and their "private" audience time with this year's McWhinney guest speaker Dr. Marie-Dominique Beaulieu.

Martin J. Bass/PSI Memorial Award in Family Medicine

Dr. Martin Bass was the Chair of the Graduate Studies Program in the Department of Family Medicine from 1977 to 1980, and the first Director of the Centre for Studies in Family Medicine from 1986 to 1996. This award honours Dr. Bass and his strong commitment to family medicine research.
These awards have been made possible by a generous contribution from The Physicians’ Services Incorporated Foundation in honour of the late Dr. Martin J. Bass (MSc. ’76). These awards receive matched funding from the Ontario Government through the Ontario Student Opportunity Trust Fund Program. This year the recipients are Drs. Melad Marbeen, Salim Sunderji.
