The College of Family Physicians of Canada’s 12th Annual Family Doctor Week in Canada took place November 9-14, coinciding with the annual Family Medicine Forum. This month we celebrate our faculty who were recognized for their achievements and their commitment to family practice.
Last month the Department of Family Medicine hosted the inaugural Dr. Ian McWhinney Lecture Series. The event was a resounding success! Faculty, residents, staff and guests came together to honour and remember the founding Chair of the Department and one of the leading thinkers in the discipline of Family Medicine.
Welcome back from your summer break. As the fall quickly approaches the Department is busy prepping to host the inaugural Dr. Ian McWhinney Lecture and the Centre for Studies in Family Medicine's Research Day.
Summer, and the end of the academic year, is fast approaching. Our newsletter will take a mini break and be back with a new look in September. Till then, be safe and enjoy the sunshine and the warmer temperatures.
As we near the end of the academic year the Department is set to celebrate our residents, staff and preceptors at Resident Project Day and Graduation. We also look forward to the inaugural Ian McWhinney lecture in September.
