Associate ProfessorResearch Interests / Specializations: Cellular mechanisms of proteostasis, endoplasmic reticulum (ER) stress, and transcriptional control in health, disease, and aging. Using budding yeast (Saccharomyces cerevisiae), the fungal pathogen Candida albicans, and mammalian cells — combined with genomics, molecular genetics, and live-cell imaging — to study how the unfolded protein response, transcriptional regulation, and protein acetylation control stress adaptation, morphogenesis, and antifungal drug resistance, with a broader interest in how protein misfolding drives cellular aging.
