First Annual Conference and Networking Event

The Health Data Research Network Canada (HDRN Canada) pragmatic trials training program organized its first virtual annual conference between March 3rd and 6th, 2025.
Over four days, eight trial leaders showcased their pragmatic protocols currently under development. Participants had a unique opportunity to practice knowledge translation and mobilization, engage in innovative and insightful panel discussions, and connect with like-minded professionals.
The conference aimed to enhance the knowledge of researchers and healthcare professionals about pragmatic clinical trials and familiarize them with protocols under development. It brought together learners with varying levels of knowledge about clinical trial design and implementation to learn about each other's work and share their experiences. The ideas that emerged from the expert panel discussions contributed to strengthening the development of future pragmatic trials.
After the conference, on March 7th, an in-person networking event was held at Western University, where participants in the training program had the opportunity to meet and network.
