Edmondson Memorial Award
Applications must be submitted by 11:59pm on Wednesday, October 7 2026.
Awarded annually to an undergraduate student entering the Doctor of Medicine (MD) program, based on demonstrated financial need, active involvement in community or university athletics at any level, and volunteer activities in London, his or her home community, or at university.
Candidates need to have completed an admission financial need application form, available online through Student Center, by April 1. Once financial need has been determined by the Office of the Registrar, candidates will be contacted to provide a one-page statement regarding their involvement in athletic and volunteer activities. Based on this information, the recipient will be selected by the Scholarship and Awards Committee of the Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry.
This award has been established by the family and friends of David S. Edmondson, BSc'11, Biology. David is remembered by those who knew and loved him for his magnetic, outgoing personality, great sense of humour, passion for sports, love of the outdoors, and commitment to volunteer work at the London Health Sciences Centre. His love of life endeared him to his family, friends, and anyone who was fortunate enough to have met him.
