Meds 2026 - 5th Year Class Office Nomination
Students selected as 5-Year Class Officers are responsible for organizing a five-year class reunion and keeping their classmates updated on their peers.
Nomination Rules:
- Nominations must be received by 11:59 on March 31st 2026.
- Self- nominations are NOT permitted
- Multiple individuals may be selected for this role; however, each class member may nominate only one candidate for the position of 5-Year Class Officer.
- Efforts will be made to ensure representation from both the Windsor and London campuses.
- Nominees may withdraw their names if they do not wish to be considered.
Selection Rules:
- Each graduating class member may cast one anonymous vote for the 5-Year Class Officer.
- Polling results will be reviewed by election scrutineers. Any discrepancy or irregularities in the nomination or voting process may result in a re-run of of the election.
- The scrutineer committee will be chaired by the Hippocratic Council President and will include the Past-President, VP-Windsor, VP- Communications, and Honorary President.
- Concerns regarding the election process may be submitted to the scrutineers at any time before results are announced publicly. The scrutineers will review all complaints, and by consensus, determine if the integrity of the election has been compromised. if intervention is deemed necessary, actions may include, but are not limited to, disqualification of nominees, invalidation of the results, or restarting the process.
- Predefined rules will govern run-off elections:
- If more than four candidates are nominated, a run-off election will be held between the two candidates who received the most votes at the end of the initial polling period.
- If the top two candidates are separated by fewer than 5 votes, a run-off election will be conducted.
- The results of a run-off election are final unless the candidates are tied.
