Community Spotlight: North 42 Family Health Organization
We are the North 42 Family Health Organization, a group of four family physicians (Dr. Matthew Battiston, Dr. Sarah Hanik, Dr. Dema Kadri, Dr. Tatjana Milovic) practising comprehensive family medicine in Windsor, Ontario. We are relatively new to practice having completed residency in 2019 through Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry’s Family Medicine Program. Our journey has been one that has been unique having started our practices during a pandemic and working together to respond to the needs of our community during unknown and unforeseen times.
I am lucky to be able to work alongside my colleagues and our amazing team that have worked together so seamlessly during the COVID -19 pandemic to adjust and ensure safety and proper care for our patients.
How did we come to be? We are all from Windsor-Essex and have known each other at different times of our lives, some of us since childhood, undergrad, medical school, and residency. The Schulich School Of Medicine Family Medicine Program, Windsor Site, is what brought us all together where we all came to be close friends and colleagues.
We all practice comprehensive Family Medicine in Windsor Ontario and enjoy teaching as adjunct faculty members at the Schulich School of Medicine. One of our team members Dr. Battiston practices in-patient medicine as a Hospitalist at Erie Shores Healthcare. We enjoy being involved in our community through various groups and initiatives and improving access to care in the county that we all call home!
I count myself lucky to be able to have colleagues that I respect and that feel like extended family!
