The Point-of-Care Ultrasound (POCUS) Interest Group is pleased to announce the Fourth Annual Western Student Ultrasound Symposium.
Date: Saturday, August 20, 2016
Location: Canadian Surgical Technologies & Advanced Robotics (CSTAR), London Health Sciences Centre, University Hospital
Sessions are taught by physicians and residents. The Symposium will provide in-depth instruction on common scanning techniques, with workshops aimed at giving participants as much practice time as possible. For those interested in specialties which rely on POCUS, including Emergency Medicine, Anesthesiology, General Surgery, Internal Medicine, and Paediatrics, the Symposium should provide a solid foundation in the use of ultrasound with which to build on in clerkship, electives, and into residency.
The cost for the Symposium is $280 per participant. The planning committee is running the Symposium at cost and does not profit from organizing this event.
Interested individuals can sign-up through CSTAR online. The event is capped at 35 participants due to room capacities and in past years, the event has filled up quickly.
