The Mitacs Globalink Research Award provides funding to support senior undergraduate and graduate student research projects abroad. It provides an opportunity for students and faculty at Canadian universities to strengthen existing international research collaborations and connect with colleagues around the world. At the same time, students are afforded an opportunity to develop research skills, cultural fluency, and professional networks, becoming part of Canada's generation of global innovators. Undergraduate medical students are eligible to apply.
The application process for the Mitacs Globalink Research Award is quick, easy, and applications are accepted at any time. Funding ($5,000) supports student travel and accommodation expenses, research related expenses, and student stipend.
Visit the Mitacs website for more information and details on how to apply.
Note, Mitacs recommends applicants submit applications by February 5, 2016, for projects starting in summer 2016.
