Congratulations to Amanda Sauvé, Medicine Class of 2018, on being named October’s Medical Student of the Month by the Ontario Medical Students Association (OMSA)!
Amanda is being recognized for her leadership and advocacy for Indigenous rights and cultural awareness at Schulich Medicine & Dentistry.
As the local Officer of Indigenous Health for the School’s Office of Global Health and an executive of the Aboriginal Health Advocacy Group, Amanda works hard to enhance our understanding of the social determinants of health and their impact on access to care.
Amanda is also passionate about mental health and wellness. She sets a great example for her peers, emphasizing that we should not be ashamed of our mental health experiences; rather we should provide support for one another.
