The Canada International Scientific Exchange Program is now accepting applications for 2014 International Pediatric Emergency Medicine Elective. This summer program is a unique learning opportunity for twelve Canadian, Israeli, Jordanian and Palestinian medical students to enhance cross-border understanding, trust, and cooperation among future physician leaders. This elective experience involves both a clinical and global health oriented curriculum. It is a recognized elective by the Undergraduate Medical Education of the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Toronto and managed by The Canada International Scientific Exchange Program in partnership with Hospital for Sick Children, and the Department of Emergency Medicine at McMaster University.
All 2nd year and 3rd medical students who will have completed their pre-clerkship studies by July 2014 are eligible. This year, they will be accepting 3 Canadian medical students to participate.
