Important News for the Class of 2015 – Windsor Program, from Gerry Cooper

Thank you for taking the time to meet with Dr. Tithecott and me on Friday and earlier today. We appreciate your questions and feedback. We are also are grateful to you for your patience as we manage the impact of the labour disruption on our Program. And we want to acknowledge the professionalism and dedication you have shown during the past several weeks. You represent Schulich Medicine & Dentistry very well.

This morning we learned that a tentative agreement has been reached between the University and CUPE 1393. The staff have not, however, returned to work. We are hopeful that this will happen soon. In the meantime, we wanted to answer the questions you posed to us during our meetings. Please review all the details of this email, and let us know if you have any further questions or concerns.

Is there one contact I can go to find answers to my questions?

I didn't receive my Structured Clinical Interview Form (SCIF) as part of the psych rotation, how do I get it?

The forms are being resent and a new central repository is being created in OWL. Please contact Nicole Sbrocca if you require further information.

Where do I turn-in my completed mid-rotation and end-of-rotation evaluations?

You can turn-in your completed evaluations under the door of Bianca's Office located in the Schulich Medicine Lounge at the Ouellette Campus and/or Bev's Office located beside the Schulich Medicine Lounge at the Met Campus. These will be picked up by either Dr. Gerry Cooper or Nicole Sbrocca on a regular basis.

Where do I access my schedule and other resources?

You can access resources and your schedule through OWL and One45. You should continue to refer to One45 for all scheduling moving forward.

Where can I find information about my Selectives?

When will I receive the cancelled Surgery Lectures?

We are aware that, for various reasons, there have been up to seven missed lectures in Surgery. Dr. Petrakos is working to reschedule all the missed lectures. These will take place during the next six weeks. We apologize for the disruption.

I have not heard about my next clerkship rotation, when will I receive the information?

We have been working hard to get this information out to you in the past few days. If you still haven't heard about your rotation, then please contact either Dr. Gerry Cooper at, Office: 519.253.3000, ext. 4818; Cell 519.819.2034 or Nicole Sbrocca at Office: 519.561.1416; cell 519.564.3435. You will be oriented on the first of your next rotation.

I want to get in touch with the Learner Equity and Wellness department, how do I do that?

You can reach staff in Learner Equity and Wellness in a number of ways, see below. We have provided you with cell phone numbers, where possible, and each of these individuals is available at all times to assist you. We are also working on expanding office hours in Windsor.
