The Intima: Editor Application - March 30 Deadline

Monday, March 25, 2013

The Intima is now accepting applications for volunteer staff positions for the 2013-2014 publication cycle.

Editors at The Intima support the development and production of the journal. Editors review each submission and select quality entries that reflect the mission and vision (http://www.theintima.org/mission--vision.html ) of the publication. Additionally, each editor is responsible for promoting the content and activities of the journal.

Attention to detail, familiarity with web-based applications, and daily access to email is a must. The Intima is released twice a year and the editorial commitment spans both publications. Overall the time commitment is approximately 15 minutes per week and up to 4 hours per week in the month
leading up to publication.

While anyone with a Narrative and/or Medical Humanities background is invited to apply, preference will be given to students and alumni of the Masters Program in Narrative Medicine at Columbia University.
