The learning session began with a moving and enlightening presentation by Ry Moran, Director of the National Centre for Truth and Reconciliation at the University of Manitoba, and then students engaged in a Blanket Exercise. Created in 1997, the Blanket Exercise is a succinct overview of Indigenous rights in Canada that explores the major themes and findings of the Royal Commission on Aboriginal Peoples.
