Dr. Aleksandra Nowicki obtained her medical degree from the University of Ottawa in 2004. She completed her residency in Psychiatry with specialty training in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Western University in 2010. She has worked with FEMAP as well as the Adult Mood & Anxiety Program, doing a combination of inpatient, outpatient and shared care. Since 2012, Dr. Nowicki has continued to work in a community addictions program. Dr. Nowicki has been Physician Lead with the Child & Adolescent Eating Disorders Program at LHSC since 2013. Her clinical work involves assessment, consultation, inpatient and outpatient care of children and adolescents with eating disorders and other psychiatric comorbidities within an interdisciplinary setting. Dr. Nowicki is an associate professor with the Department of Psychiatry and supervises medical students, residents and fellows. She is a resident mentor and academic coach and in 2019 received a Schulich Excellence in Education Award.
