Dr. Levin joined the Department of Paediatrics at Children's Hospital in 1990. He is a Professor at Western University and was head of the Division of Paediatric Neurology. His research interests include health-related quality of life in children with epilepsy and their families and determining causes, clinical presentations and outcomes of birth asphyxia.

He received his medical training at the Godfrey Huggins School of Medicine in Harari, Zimbabwe. Postgraduate training took him to Birmingham, Edinburgh and London in the United Kingdom. He was an Assistant Professor at MacMaster University Medical Centre before coming to London.

He served on the Board of Directors for the Epilepsy Support Centre in London, the Canadian Paediatric Surveillance Program Committee and was an examiner in paediatrics for the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons. He is the Program Director for Paediatrics.
