The Global Health program is now accepting applications for the Global Health Awards.

The Joan Scarfone Memorial Award
Awarded to a student in registered in the Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry - Windsor Program in Year Four of the Doctor of Medicine (MD) program who will be pursuing a medical elective in a developing country. If there are no applicants from the Windsor Program, the award may be offered to a London student who meets appropriate criteria. The award will be made prior to the student's departure. Candidates may self-nominate.

The Rob Tingley Class of '95 Developing Countries Award
Awarded to a student in Year Four of the Doctor of Medicine (MD) program to assist with the travel or program expenses that are directly related to an international global health elective experience. This award was established by the friends and family of Dr. Rob Tingley of the Medical Class of 1995. Dr. Tingley's elective in Kijabe, Kenya was a life-altering experience, and his friends and family have chosen to honor his legacy by enabling future students to have similar experiences. The elective should enable a medical student to observe first-hand the primary role of poverty in disease and the natural history of disease. The recipient will commit to a four to six week experience. Candidates may self-nominate.
