Join us for a Global Health special talk on Friday to mark International Development Week. Dr. Clare Mitchell, Department of Paediatrics, will be speaking to Schulich Medicine students about her experience as part of a medical mission to Guyana.
Dr. Mitchell's talk is titled, "What can be achieved in 10 days? Reflections on a medical mission to Guyana, South America".

Dr. Mitchell joined an interdisciplinary team on a medical mission to Guyana in September 2014, and she will be returning on another mission in November 2015.
She completed her MD at Western in 1987, and is currently an Associate Professor at the University and Head of the Section of Developmental and Behavioural Paediatrics. Dr. Mitchell's main clinical duties are the Child and Parent Resource Institute (CPRI). She has a particular interests in Tourette Syndrome, Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder, the assessment of children with social deficits, and global health.
