Western Facilities Management crews have been using road and sidewalk plows to clear snow away since 7 a.m. Efforts to clear roads, walkways, building entrances, as well as salting of roads and walkways, will be ongoing throughout the day.
The forecast is calling for continued snow squalls into this evening. Further snow removal will take place overnight for all parking lots walks will begin at midnight. Barring heavy accumulations beyond what is forecast, all walks, roads, steps will be completely cleared for Thursday morning at 6 a.m.
Western community members should exercise patience and drive slowly and safely on and around campus. Pedestrians should also be aware of their surroundings when walking on and near campus and dress appropriately for cold temperatures, especially today and tomorrow.
