Congratulations to our Meds 2018s and Meds 2017s on a very successful Halloween Food Drive.

A total of 428 cans (more than 350 lbs) was donated to the London Food Bank. The 2017s won by a narrow margin of 221 to 207 cans.

The Halloween Food Drive is an annual event organized by the Hippocratic Council. Students were given one week to donate non-perishable food items. The classes worked together across the London and Windsor campuses.

“Learning that the London Food Bank directly helps 9,000 people every month was added motivation to make this year’s food drive a success,” said Radha Joseph, Medicine Class of 2017 and Community Relations Director, Junior for the Hippocratic Council.

Schulich Medicine also had three teams participate in Western’s Trick or Eat campaign this year, collecting food donations door-to-door on Halloween.
