Dr. Davy Cheng is Founding Dean of Medicine at The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen
Dr. Davy Cheng, MEDICI Medical Director and Distinguished University Professor, Department of Anesthesia & Perioperative Medicine is now serving as the founding Dean of CUHK - Shenzhen School of Medicine. Dr. Cheng previously served as an intensivist in Critical Care Medicine in the Department of Medicine at Western University; Chair/Chief of the Department of Anesthesia & Perioperative Medicine at LHSC Centre, St. Joseph Health Care and Western University from 2001-2017; Vice Dean, Faculty Affairs of all clinical departments at Schulich (2017-2018); and Acting Dean of the Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry, Western University (2018-2020). He is also co-founder of the MEDICI Centre at Schulich, and established the Evidence-Based Perioperative Clinical Outcomes Research (EPiCOR) group. His pioneer work in fast track cardiac anesthesia and recovery has become the standard of cardiac anesthesia and recovery practice in cardiac surgery and anesthesia care around the world.
