Rachel Sansone completed her BA, BSW, and MSW at King’s University College, Western University. In her role as the counsellor at Learner Equity & Wellness (LEW) at for the Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry, Rachel is available to students who are seeking the following support: information on mental health, including coping strategies; crisis counselling; individual counselling; and will support any inquiries regarding learner equity and wellness.
Rachel believes that we are all the experts of our own lives and aims to help individuals recognize their unique inner resources, allowing them to reach their potential. She has an interest in mindfulness meditation and helping people to become comfortable with the “passengers on their bus”. Drop by the LEW office to learn more about the “Bus Metaphor” and how changing your relationship with internal experiences (i.e., thoughts, emotions, urges, memories, etc.) can cultivate a healthier and more fulfilling life.
