    The 2018 International Summer Program is an interactive two-week immersion program that looks at global health from a multidisciplinary and multiprofessional perspective. Students will participate in a range of activities, including lectures focused on global health, team-based learning modules, visits with community organizations and cross-cultural workshops.

The role of Geographic Leader is to serve as a resource and support to the Dean, the Senior Leadership Council and the Internationalization Office in developing a strategic direction for educational, clinical and research activities for the Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry related to the specific country or region.

    Throughout Dr. Saverio Stranges’ education and career, he has had the opportunity to train and work around the world, including Italy, England and various countries in Africa. As professor and chair of the Department of Epidemiology & Biostatistics, Dr. Stranges has gained diverse experience and insight from living in several places, which has ultimately inspired his passion and commitment to global health and internationalization.

  • Call for Proposals – International Curriculum Fund

    The International Curriculum Fund, administered by Western International, has annual funding of $100,000. Awards of up to $15,000 each will be available annually. The goal of the awards is to promote innovative curriculum initiatives that help support international and intercultural learning opportunities for Western students.
