Assuming there is good employee performance, a re-appointment may be made to extend the duration of the employment contract. All other terms of the contract remain the same (e.g. same department, same role and same rate of pay (unless otherwise adjusted as per the Guidelines for Administration of Contract, Part Time Staff and Summer Student Compensation).

Essentially yes, as long as the person is not a UWOSA Term employee. UWOSA Term employees may only be eligible for 24 months of employment or 2 contracts (whichever ends first) before the position must end or the position is made RF (Continuing).
A non-union employee becomes a TERM UWOSA employee when they work combined hours of greater than 24 in UWOSA classified roles. Refer to Article 42 of the UWOSA Collective Agreement
