Admissions Requirements
  • Bachelor degree (or equivalent) from accredited institution (Honours preferred)
  • Min. 80% over the final 2 years
  • Course completion in Biological sciences at 2nd year levels recommended
  • Masters degree in Neuroscience, or in a field with strong neuroscience and research component, or an MD, DDS or DVS degree with some specialization in neuroscience
  • Min. 80% over the final 2 years

Test Requirements

Applicants whose first language is not English must furnish evidence of their proficiency in the use of the English language (only one test is required):

  • The Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL). Minimum score of 600 for paper-based test, 250 for computer-based test, or 100 for internet-based test. [Western's TOEFL ID is 0984]. OR
  • The International English Language Testing System (IELTS).  A minimum score of 7 out of 9.
