However, there is inconsistency in the core elements included in residency education. While previous studies of consultants and medical students have shown that complexity is perceived beyond the biomedical dimension, resident perspectives have yet to be explored. Understanding their perceptions and how they are developed is crucial to determine if taught curricula aligns with resident learning needs.
