This is an experience providing care to acutely ill patients admitted from the emergency room. These are complex patients with undifferentiated medical problems. There is a team of a senior (PGY3), one PGY2 Internal Medicine resident, and additional junior house staff including one to two PGY1 trainees and four to five clinical clerks.
