Second Annual United Way Chili Lunch Fund Raiser

Staff from the Centre for Studies in Family Medicine organized the second annual United Way Chili Lunch fundraiser on October 25.  Last year was so successful - we decided to do it again.  Ten volunteers brought in a crockpot of homemade chili, and others brought in homemade desserts, bread, rolls and toppings.  Tickets were sold in advance and at the door.  ($5 for lunch and $1 for dessert) There was a fantastic turnout for the lunch including many from the first floor, fourth floor, and other guests.  A total of $320 was raised for the United Way.

Once again, we moved tables and chairs from the meeting rooms to create an extra long harvest table in our hallway.  It was wonderful to see over 45 faculty and staff taking some time to enjoy lunch and conversation together.

Sincere thanks to everyone who contributed in some way to our success. From the chili makers to the set up and clean-up crews - we couldn’t have done it without you.

And, a big thank you to everyone who bought lunch and made donations to make it a success.
