Dr. Daniel Pepe receives 2017 CFPC Patient Education Grant for Family Medicine Residents

The Department of Family Medicine would like to congratulate Dr. Daniel Pepe on receiving a 2017 CFPC Patient Education Grant for Family Medicine Residents for his project called "Teach and Learn." Dr. Pepe has been working on this project to provide a free open access medical education resource for patient education.

The Patient Education Grants for Family Medicine Residents recognize and encourage family medicine residents to become involved in the planning and development of patient education.  The grants support residents to do projects focused on Choosing Wisely Canada Recommendations during their training (i.e. research, developing learning tools.) and in the creation and promotion of materials, tools and presentations specifically addressing gaps in patient education resources and updating existing information.

These grants are made possible through the generous donations of Scotiabank and the Foundation for Advancing Family Medicine (FAFM) of the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC).
