Dr. Robert Petrella completes term as the Beryl & Richard Ivey Research Chair
The Department of Family Medicine is pleased to support Dr. Robert Petrella as he completes his second five-year term as the Beryl & Richard Ivey Research Chair in Aging, Rehabilitation & Geriatric Care at the Parkwood Institute, and moves full-time into the Western Centre for Public Health and Family Medicine and continues to conduct his research.
Dr. Petrella will be taking up a new research position starting September 1, 2015, in aging, mobility and chronic disease prevention created jointly between the Department of Family Medicine, Western University and the Lawson Health Research Institute.
His leadership and innovation helped to build an exciting and successful research program at Parkwood Institute, which has recently been enhanced by the arrival of the St. Joseph's mental health care research group.
