Session learning objectives:
At the conclusion of these Grand Rounds, participants will be able to
- Outline recent advances in pharmacogenomics of relevance to optimal medication dosing.
- Discuss clinically important genetic variations in drug metabolizing enzymes and transporters for the prediction of patients at risk for adverse drug response or lack of therapeutic efficacy.
- Describe Personalized Medicine Service at LHSC to provide pharmacogenomics-based consultative service to family physicians.
