Come see us at the 26th Annual Rural and Remote Medicine Course in St. John's Newfoundland, April 12-14

There are several poster and oral presentations by our medical students and faculty you should check out. Medical students John Cameron, Dylan Russelo, and Leah Sinai have a poster on their work redesigning MedLINCS last summer, entitled "Discovery Healthcare: Revamping MedLINCS Through a Broader Focus on Healthcare and New Participant Demographic," while Claire LaFortune and Jeff Gustafson have a poster on "Strategies to Maximize Recruitment and Retention of Physicians in Canada’s Rural and Remote Areas." These posters will be displayed on Friday, April 13 from 12:30-1:45 pm in the SJCC Lobby.  Robert McAllister (Meds 2019), our research coordinator Danny Kim, and Assistant Dean George Kim have an oral presentation on "Rural Physician Retention: Perceptions of Longstanding and Recently-Recruited Physicians" on Thursday, April 12th at 3:45 pm in the Avalon Ballroom. The next day, Friday, April 13th at 2:40 pm in Pippy 2, Danny Kim and Dr. George Kim are leading a workshop titled "The Epidemiological Toolbox: How Your Patient Interactions Can Inform Wider Research."  Fred Ross will leading a workshop discussing Hot topics in Distributed Medical Education Administration on Friday, April 13th at 4:00pm.  He will also be chairing the Annual Meeting of Distributed Medical Education Administrators (where he is the current chair and one of the founding members) on Saturday April 14th at 10:00am.   We look forward to seeing you all in St. John's.
