December 06, 2017 Congratulations to Dr. George Kim, Assistant Dean, Rural & Regional Community Engagement and 3rd-year medical student, Melissa Cookson, who received an award for their research poster, “Factors Influencing Faculty Engagement with Canadian Medical Schools” at the Family Medicine Forum, November 8 – 11, 2017, in Montréal, Quebec. This was the largest annual conference for family physicians and many of Schulich Medicine’s research and clinical faculty and staff presented posters, workshops or education sessions.

October 19, 2017 Five of Schulich’s 1st and 2nd-year medical students, Dylan Russelo, Leah Sinai, John Cameron, Cassie Poole and Kelly MacIsaac, completed the summer elective programs offered through the Office of Distributed Education this past summer. Students in the Discovery Healthcare (formerly MedLINCs) and Indigenous MedLINCs programs engaged in developing programming for summer camps for youth ages 12 through 15, creating outreach programs designed to mentor and inspire youth to consider future careers in healthcare.
