CADR STUDENT RESEARCH AWARD
CADR provides a limited number of Student Research Awards available for trainees to present their research at the annual AADR/CADR meeting. Eligibility: Students and postdoctoral fellows working in dental research, including research in oral health, oral biology and craniofacial sciences. Applications are solicited by CADR in early summer.
The Quintessence Research Award is awarded on the recommendation of the Schulich Dentistry Research Committee following nomination by faculty supervisors to a graduating DDS student who has been exemplary in research in the undergraduate dental program.
RESEARCH DAY AWARDS
Schulich Dentistry selects DDS students for the following travel awards at Dentistry’s Annual Research Day. Each of the top three winners in our Research Poster competition will represent Schulich Dentistry by presenting their winning poster at one of these national or international research competitions.CDA/Dentsply Sirona Travel Award
The CDA/Dentsply Sirona Student Clinician Research Program provides an opportunity for one dental student from each accredited dental school in Canada to participate in a national clinical research competition. Managed by the Canadian Dental Association (CDA) and sponsored by Dentsply Sirona International and Dentsply Sirona Canada (Dentsply Sirona), the program is held in conjunction with CDA's annual convention. The purpose of the program is to stimulate ideas, improve communication and most of all, increase student involvement in the advancement of the dental profession.
ADA Conference Travel Award
The American Dental Association (ADA) Foundation hosts the Colgate Dental Students' Conference on Research. The purpose of this conference is to introduce outstanding dental students to scientists from the ADAF Paffenbarger Research Center, the ADA oral health industry leaders and the National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research, with the goal of raising their awareness of the wide-ranging careers available in oral health research.
Hinman Student Research Travel Award
The Hinman Student Research Symposium (in Memphis) features presentations of research studies undertaken by dental students and graduate trainees from dental schools across North America. The goal of the symposium is to help raise and maintain the quality of dental research and education by encouraging participation of dental students, graduate trainees and dental school faculty in research to improve oral health care.
