Kevin Bartman awarded entry into Schulich’s Dental Clinician-Scientist (DCS) Program

The DCS program consists of pursuing a PhD degree in an area of research relevant to dentistry followed by a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree. The program is directed towards highly motivated students whose career objective is to become productive clinician-scientists in dental research or academic dentistry. Kevin Bartman was assessed using the following criteria: (a) demonstrated evidence of superior academic achievement, (b) demonstrated or potential research excellence and (c) aptitude and motivation for a career in academic dentistry. 

This is a joint-degree program (PhD/DDS).  Bartman is currently working on his PhD under the co-supervision of Dr. Harvey Goldberg (Biochemistry) and Dr. Frank Beier (Physiology and Pharmacology).
