Oncology Research and Education Day brings together hundreds of trainees, scientists, clinicians and staff working in cancer care and research from across London Health Sciences Centre, London Regional Cancer Program, Robarts Research Institute, Lawson Health Research Institute, Western University, Windsor Regional Cancer Program, Cancer Research Labs, the Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry and much more!
This event enables and encourages multi-disciplinary team-based communication and collaboration and provides a strong foundation for research and academic advancement.
Dr. Senan is the 2016 recipient of the prestigious Heine H. Hansen Award which acknowledges a lunch cancer investigator who has made a special contribution to lung cancer research and education on an international basis.
"Suresh Senan is Professor of clinical experimental radiotherapy at the VU University Medical Center in Amsterdam, and vice-chairman of the Department of Radiation Oncology. His research group has been active in 4-dimensional imaging for radiotherapy planning, guideline development for image-guided radiotherapy, implementation of volumetric modulated arc therapy, clinical trials of radiotherapy combined with new agents, and comparative effectiveness research." http://jtd.amegroups.com/user/view/980
Awards are available to be won in the following categories:
Nominees from the five areas exemplify outstanding contributions to teaching trainees, colleagues and staff. Their contributions should demonstrate excellent or innovative teaching that has a lasting impact. Submit your nomination letter for the Academic and Teaching Awards to the respective Division Leader for consideration by no later than Friday May 25, 2018.
