Residents in CQUINS Bootcamp in Sustainable Quality course win award
Award-Winning Quality Improvement Project
Dr. Maria Luz Garagiola and Dr. Xavier Theroux, resident physicians in the Department of Cardiology, won First Prize for their quality improvement project, "Demystifying the decline in London’s cardiac rehabilitation referral rates."
Their project focused on improving referral rates to cardiac rehabilitation for patients following coronary revascularization, acute coronary syndrome, and coronary artery bypass surgery. Drs. Garagiola and Theroux completed this initiative during the 2024–2025 Bootcamp in Sustainable Quality, offered through the Centre for Quality, Innovation & Safety (CQUINS).
