MSc Clinical Medical Biophysics - CAMPEP Stream

The MSc clinical Medical Biophysics program is for students who plan to apply to Medical Physics residency programs but have not completed a CAMPEP-accredited graduate program.  Students must have completed a previous bachelor’s, master’s, or PhD degree.

Effective September 1st, 2019, the Medical Biophysics graduate program will offer a 1-year (2-term) course-based MSc degree which covers all the required CAMPEP courses.

Before you begin your application, please ensure that you meet the minimum academic requirements for the program. No refund of application fees will be given to students who apply without meeting the minimum requirements.

Minimum requirements are:

(i)  Completion of an undergraduate degree in physics, engineering, or completion of a minor in physics as defined by completing three upper-level traditional physics courses (for example: Classical Mechanics, Electromagnetic Theory, Quantum Mechanics, Physics Laboratory)

(ii) a minimum average of 78% in the final two years of undergraduate studies, as evaluated by the Western’s School of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies (SGPS).

These requirements will be evaluated after your completed formal application has been received through the SGPS website. No refunds will be provided for ineligible applications.

If you have any questions regarding the application process, please do not hesitate to

Students in this stream who successfully complete this one year program will receive a MSc in Clinical Medical Biophysics, will receive their degree at convocation, and will then be eligible to apply for Medical Physics residency programs.
