In his project, Matthew will use bioinformatics to create a program that predicts mistranslation of tRNA variants. He will also establish a yeast system expressing the human forms of the tRNA variants so that they can be tested for mistranslation.

This award is generously supported by funds from WORLDiscoveries, with the goal of fostering opportunities for entrepreneurship and/or commercialization within Western's Biochemistry Dept. Matthew will receive $100.
