First publications from labs of Drs. Heinemann and O'Donoghue

The Biochemistry Department's newest faculty members, Drs. Ilka Heinemann and Pat O'Donoghue, joined Western in 2013 and have recently published their labs' first research papers.

Dr. Heinemann, her graduate student (Christina Chung), and former undergraduate student (David Jo) published their work on the nucleotide specificity of Gld2/TUT2 in RNA in June.

Dr. O'Donoghue and his graduate student (Susanna George) collaborated with Dr. Gary Shaw and his lab to publish on phospho-ubiquitin variants in FEBS Lett. in May.

Congratulations to all!
