Award: Peeyush Lala recognized for contributions to and achievements in anatomical sciences

Congratulations to Peeysh Lala, Ph.D, M.D., Professor Emeritus, Department of Anatomy and Cell Biology, on receiving the Henry Gray Scientific Achievement Award from the American Association of Anatomy’s (AAA.)

The Henry Gray Scientific Achievement is AAAs’ highest scientific honor which recognizes unique and meritorious contributions to and achievements in anatomical sciences by a distinguished member.

As a researcher, Dr. Lala’s passion for science and its translation for clinical impact are evident, with significant contributions in the areas of cancer biology and placental development. He continues to carry out ground-breaking research. He has been continually funded by national granting agencies for 51 years and has been overseeing his lab for the last 19 years as an Emeritus Professor.

Dr. Lala will be receiving his award at the American Association of Anatomy’s annual meeting in San Diego on Tuesday, April 7th 2020, where he has been requested to present a lecture.
