"Food Fads: What's the evidence?"
with Shelby Dowdell RD BSc(FN)

Shelby Dowdell received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from Brescia University College in 2014. After spending one year in Western’s Exercise and Pregnancy Lab as the Nutrition Research Assistant, Shelby was accepted into the Diploma Program in Dietetic Education and Practical Training at Brescia University College where she received her Registered Dietitian certification. Since graduating in 2016 Shelby has had the opportunity to gain invaluable experience working with Dr. Robert Hegele’s lab in Robarts Research Institute, in addition to facilitating a cooking class with Alzheimer Society London and Middlesex. She enjoys working with a variety of nutrition-related topics, and her passion lies in providing evidence-based diabetes education. She looks forward to sharing her knowledge and nutrition expertise with the public.
